District Sales Manager – Lift Off Distribution LLC

Overview of the Role: The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for managing a pre-determined sales territory. Within the territory, the DSM is expected to maximize volume and revenue growth. This individual is responsible for cultivating strong customer relationships, as well as selling national and local program execution.

The DSM has direct people management responsibility. This individual is challenged to build his Route Sales teams’ skill in a variety of methods including periodic route rides. The DSM must coach his/her employees in order to maximize selling skills, in-store display execution, and merchandising standards. The DSM drives superior trade execution and product quality by conducting formal in-store audits to maintain merchandising, point-of-purchase material, and product rotation standards. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·        Managing predetermined sales territory with expectations of maximizing revenue growth through in-store audits and employee supervision to ensure the territory is exceeding product distribution, merchandising and rotation standards.

·        Developing strong business relationships with key customers within sales territory

·        Manage and coach direct reports to develop superior trade relationships, maximize selling skills and to deliver expected in-store merchandising and display results.

·        Executes against company objectives and plans to ensure a successful and quality work environment is achieved in assigned district.

·        Ensure the proper implementation and execution of all LOD policies and procedures.

 

Requirements

·        Bachelor’s Degree preferred

·        2-6 years work experience, preferably in consumer products, DSD and/or beverage industry.

·        Experience in people management preferred

·        Able to work flexible work schedule including early mornings and some weekends.

·        Strong analytical, process improvement, problem solving and leadership skills.

·        Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.

·        PC literate.
